Auréolé de son succès obtenu dans le Prix Georges Courtois, Métasequoia a pris soin de reprendre de la fraîcheur et retrouve cette piste du Pont-Long, qu'il apprécie tout particulièrement. A l'issue d'un déroulement de course sans encombre, nul doute qu'il a les moyens de faire sien ce 139ème Grand Prix, même s'il devra craindre en priorité les deux élèves dépêchés au départ par Daniela Mele, à savoir Kapaca de Thaix, invaincu à Pau, et Brexit, de retour sur les ''gros'', après avoir gagné sur les haies, sans oublier Kilomètre Illimité, sujet tout neuf, à l'âge de six ans, qui dépend d'un entraînement redoutable (méfiance !).
